The food here is wonderfull, the rich color scheme is welcoming, and they have belly dancers! I have the lamb dishes almost every time, although the vegetarian dishes are also great. They know the difference between "medium" and "mild" and prepare it accordingly! The nann (a warm flat bread) is always fresh from their tandoori oven, I like the garlic nann. I dine there two or three times a month. I crave this place, and I think you will too! Keep in mind that the dishes are prepared to order, so it takes a litle time. Go after your movie at Jordan Landing, not before.
Pros: Fresh food, ambiance, belly dancers!
Cons: Takes a litle time, don't go if you are in a rush.

In the last five years I've developed a passion for Indian food and have tried just about every Indian restaurant in Salt Lake. Last night my wife and I tried India Fusion for the first time. First off I was quite impressed by the decor. It's a very nice looking restaurant! I even enjoyed the Bollywood movie projected on the back wall, however being on a black surface made the image quite dark. The lights in the bathrooms are motion activated and only stay on for 5 seconds at a time so you have to keep waving your arms at the switch. My wife and I ordered the "Muy Caliente Chili Chicken" that had the bright red flames all around it. I guess the Spanish indicates some Indian-Mexican fusion. We also ordered the Rogan Josh (a creamy lamb curry dish), and the Samosa appetizer. The samosas arrived on a large white plate with mint and tamarind chutney. I found the samosa to be somewhat bland and the chutney seemed like the stuff you get out of a jar rather than prepared in house. Bombay house is far superior on this item. It also did not come with any serving utensils or a special plate so we used our own spoons and our main plate. When the main courses arrived, they also did not come with any serving spoons, so we had to use the same spoons we had just eaten with to get our rice and curry servings. If we were not a married couple, it would be unthinkable to dip our own spoons into the shared rice and curry dishes. We had to ask for fresh plates in order to avoid mixing the new food with the remaining bits of samosa and chutney on our dirty plates. The Chili chicken did not turn out to be as spicy as advertised, most of the heat came from sliced jalapenos. It was rested on a bed of iceberg lettuce that did not compliment the dish and quickly wilted under the hot food. Ultimately, we were not very impressed with the food and disappointed by how it was presented. I would recommend Taste of Punjab or Bombay house over this place any day. Erik
Pros: Nice environment, frienly staff, Bollywood on the wall.
Cons: Defective lights in the bathrooms, mediocre food, cutting corners.

We were excited to have an Indian restaurant so close to us, but were very disappointed, especially knowing what real Indian food is like. The meat is very tough, as though it is cooked much too quickly and the sauce tastes like it came out of a jar. My husband convinced me to go back and try the lunch buffet -- the food was not kept replenished, what was out there was lukewarm, and the waitress was irritating. We took our kids with us for the buffet and before we even started to eat, she told us how messy children were, and she kept saying that throughout our meal, even though our kids did not make a mess. She came over way too often to ask if there was anything we needed, but still managed to forget the booster seat and drink refills. Substandard Indian restaurant.
Pros: Location
Cons: The food, the service

Really they should be crowned curry king in Salt lake valley. They are th best restaurant in utah. The food is so flavourful that i actually was in heaven. I have been their repeat custome for 3 months and I think they have the best curry in salt lake valley. All their dishes have been a pleasure to try. You guys should try CHICKEN VINDALOO, I think its the best curry on the menu. I could tell a little bit about spices since i'm aspiring chef Myself. I have asked several question to thier staff and they have been very responsive and knowledgeable with my queries. I actually asked thier help for my Culinary Class and they helped me prepare the 3 course meal. They got me samosas for appetizer, Chicken shahi korma for main entree with Nan Bread (best in town) and carrot pudding as the dessert. I along with many other people in my class didnt know that carrots could taste this good. Everbody loved, my presentation in the class. Thanks to thier help I got A in the presentation. I want to try their Chilli Chicken, which is supposed to be the hottest dish in their menu and town. You get free desert if you finish it. I Guess Someday when I feel like I'm man Enough, I will try thier mui caliente chilli Chicken !!!!!!!!!!!!
Pros: Great Food, Great Service, and Great Ambiance

This is the place to be, little jewel in india fusion. There ambiance is to die for. I went there on a busy night and i can see why they were so busy. CHEF GOTZ Our own Chef from UT from grand america hotel who was chef of the year runner up last year had recommended this place. He knows what he is talking about. True to his recommendation this place is a fabulous experience. This restaurant is perfect for the families that have some not so adventoruos family members. They provide some american favorites too. But the indian food they have is marvelous. Chicken shai korma is to die for. I visited there on monday and than i went back on wednesday and friday with different people. Everybody and i mean everybody enjoyed it. They play movie songs videos which is not actual movie like the other review who was being too harsh has said. They give you really good atmosphere to enjoy the food and service is really nice. There appetizer samosas are very good. I wont be surprised if they are so busy that we would have to stand in lines waiting. They have Classy Belly Dancers on saturday night making it full entertainment. they have been featured on abc TV, In utah, Now utah, Salt lake tribune, Desert News, Fox tv etc. They are the best restaurant in utah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Try their Kheer, the best in the town. Their quality and cleanliness is great. thier are rated #1 restaurant in West Jordan. Pretty good accompishments for 5 Months. Excellent and knowledgeable service. GReat Great great great FOOD.
Pros: Too many to list
Cons: NOt closer to where i live

This place either has WAYYY too SPICY food. Or bland food. The service is horrible. The food is horrible. They give India a bad name. Putting American Food, and Indian food in one restaurant?! In India the cow is supposed to be a sacred animal, and here they are serving it to other indians that don't eat cow! They have no respect for india nor america. this place is horrible. And the bollywood movie on the wall IS CHEESSYYY. No one wants to watch a movie when its half way done. don't ruin it for other people.
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything

At first I was a bit tense to try Indian food, however, I am a convert now that I have actually tasted what it can offer. India Fusion was my segway from traditional American burgers and fries to something contemporary and exciting. Also, may I add that it doesn't leave you investing in Alka-Seltzer stock either like most fatty American foods will. The food itself is something that I assure you will bring you back. I had the Chicken Vindaloo and I have to say it was exquisite. Also, Samosas were a great appetizer and I would recommend some kind of Nan(bread). Menu wasn't hard to understand either, it was marked with numbers so you don't embarass yourself in front of friends or family, and has a description for each menu item so you aren't left surprised. The atomosphere does exactly what every eating establisment should do, make you forget where you actually are and bring you into a new experience. When you first walk into the doors you will soon forget that you are in West Jordan with decor from the Indian culture including paintings(especially a large portrait of Taj Mahal on the center wall), statues, cultural symbols, and Indian music(including music videos played on the wall). They take you to India without overdoing it. The fusion part comes in with a short selection of american food for less than adventurous people. Perfect place to take your date or family who don't want to go outside their comfort zone but want to try a new ambience. Also, I noticed on their website they offer a kid friendly menu so you don't have to spend extra money on finding a babysitter. I really recommend this place for anyone new and even people familiar with this type of cuisine. It's a great restaurant with great food and good service. I will definitely be going back.
Pros: Food, Service, Location, ambience, something new to try
Cons: If there were any I did not notice them or they were too small to be considered.

Very standard Northern Indian menu with novelty of burgers etc for less adventurous folks. Food quality around the middle for Utah Indian restaurants. Interesting decor, but not very interesting food. OK if you are in the neighborhood, but not worth a drive.

The first time I really had Indian food was in Ireland, which sounds strange, but it was so good we'd been dying to get some more ever since and lamenting the lack of good indian food in Salt Lake, especially in our general vicinity...one day we drove by this place at Jordan Landing and decided to give it a try, and we are so glad we did! We've been there a bunch of times this summer and I always tell my friends about it. The ones who have tried it have also loved it, even ones who have never had Indian food. The naan is to die for, plain or garlic, and my favorite entree at the moment is the Goa Murg. My husband loves the Rogan Josh or the Lamb Vindaloo. Honestly I've never had something there that I don't like! (Although I am not a fan of lamb in general, so I never order that...my husband loves it though) PLEASE give it a try, you will not be sorry! This place deserves to stay in business for a long long time. The service is so friendly and generous and the atmosphere is fabulous, you wouldn't know you're at a strip mall! I love when they show the Bollywood movies and the belly dancers are fun too.
Pros: Food, especially the naan, very friendly service, great value, not too crowded
