My girlfriend and I went to Madeline’s for our anniversary. We had never been there before, and wanted to try something new. Called and made a reservation. I told them it was our anniversary, and offered to bring rose to table for 25 dollars. They were beautifully displayed in a vase for her to take home. Our server Chase was very friendly as well as the rest of the staff. We ordered the Artichoke dip for our appetizer. It was amazing and the chips were cooked in house. I ordered the Prime Rib, the cowboy cut. I’ve had a lot prime ribs before but this was by far the most perfectly cooked and seasoned. I had the twice baked potato, and salad with ranch, both were very good. My girlfriend had a half slab of baby back ribs, and an 8oz steak sirloin I believe. She also had the twice baked potato and salad with Italian dressing. She is a very picky eater and she loved the food. She said their homemade BBQ sauce was “to die for”. We had the strawberry cheese cake, and chocolate cake for dessert. I should have bought a full cheese cake it was unbelievable. I had a bit of the chocolate cake it was very good, very rich. I was I little apprehensive of going to Madeline because of the reviews on here, I guess satisfied customers don’t usually write reviews. They made our special day end with a fabulous meal. Thank you Madeline’s we will be back soon!!!
Pros: Beautiful Restaurant, Amazing Food
Cons: None

Our family eats out every Saturday and are tired of the same old - same old. We were excited when we thought we had discovered our next favorite place. Not to be. All of our meat was splendid, from chicken parmessan, ribs, prime, sirloin and even crab, we found them all to be done great. The salad, though a good blend of greens was warm and limp not cool and crisp. I wasn't so surprised at the salads though when I found out the owners have previous experience at McGrath's Fish House (their salads are very poor also). The rolls, not homemade, nor freshbaked. The rice pilaf was not a very good blend, and the twice baked potatoes, though edible, were dry and had probably been prepared early in the evening and were bland. The ice cream shake was good, as was the fruit smoothy and the sampling of cheese cake and chocolate mousse cake were commendable. We had an exceptional server who made us feel very comfortable. She was very attentive and did a splendid job. She represented the front of the house very well. For an average Utah family, probably a bit pricy. If you are looking for a finer dining experience, there are better options. If you like good meat and realize the cost associated with it, you will be happy here.

I have eaten here a few times in order to try to give this place a 2nd, 3rd and so on chance... Steak isn't cooked the way you want it, and the portions are WAY TOO SMALL given the price. They have several hosts/hosteses at the front to seat you but good luck getting your waiter or waitress to help you once you have sat down. Their specials and ads are misleading they way they are printed. It's really a shame because the place has so much potential but just doesn't seem like its being run very well. I really wanted for this place to succeed as I am so tired of the "chain" steakhouses. Perhaps when this place goes out of business the next management will do better. Maybe they will turn this place around... who knows... I will probably go back again to see if it ever changes, but I can't ever see this being one of my favorite places to eat unless something drastically changes.
Pros: close to home, fast seating
Cons: no help once seated, small portions, poor quality food

This restaurant has to be the worst one I have ever been to in my life, the food is not even up to the level of horrible, my family took me there for my birthday, none of us had been there before, I had the Sea Food combination platter, the halibut and salmon was covered in grease, both tasted like chewing on a rubber ball with no flavor, the halibut was uneatable, not flaky at all, the shrimp was cold and had way to much cayenne pepper on it, and the rice under the shrimp was so sticky you could pick the whole thing up at one end and not drop one piece of rice. Two of the four baked potatoes that were ordered were still raw inside and by the time they replaced them every one was done eating. The Filet Mignon that was ordered had a strange flavor, maybe its their house blend of seasoning, but I have tasted much better steaks in the past from other resteraunts, my children's chicken fingers were so over cooked that they would not eat them. We were served food on dishes that was chipped and had sharp edges, and the service was mediocre, the only thing that was decent was the ice water, for the prices that are charged I would expect a lot better experience, service, and definitely better food. In short I would not waste my time or money here ever again.
Pros: no wait
Cons: the food, the service, the prices.

Thank you for doing our large group! The service was wonderful. The group didn't have as many as originally planned and they helped move tables and things to be more intimate! They helped put out our place cards and treats out for our attendees! The owner checked on us many times and took photos for us. The wait staff was amazing we never had to wait for drinks. They had all you can eat specials and those that ordered that had their next plate before finishing their first one. The steak my husband and I had was perfectly cooked (which is rare for my husband)! The price is a little high although worth every penny. I loved the atmosphere! The cheesecake was amazing, even better than the Cheesecake factory! I now hear they are open for breakfast. I can't wait to have a minute to stop and try their new breakfast menu! Thank you Adam!
Pros: Service was amazing, parking is good, atmosphere is great
Cons: A little pricy

We had a gift certificate for Madeline's so we decided to give it a try. I had the raspberry halibut and my boyfriend had the steak and crab dinner. His steak was over cooked and he had to get it re-done. The waitress was very nice about it but the table across from us had two of their four steaks cooked incorrectly too. The food was ok but nothing I would go back for. Their rolls were the only menu item we thought was above average. We will stick with The Texas Roadhouse. The food is better and half the price.
Pros: Great service
Cons: over priced for average tasting food

I saw a commercial for the steak and all-you-can-eat crab legs on Wednesday. My husband, being from Alabama, can eat a LOT of crab. We can never go to a seafood restaurant because the price is too high. When I told him about Madelines he was excited at the prospect. We were both a little weary. For $24.99 you get steak AND all-you-can-eat crab legs. We assumed it wouldn't be very good but it was worth a try. From the moment we walked in, we were treated like the most valuable customers in the restaurant. EVERYONE from the hostess to the waiter to the owner, all were AMAZING! Unlike all other all-you-can-eat restaurants, they were bringing more crab legs out before we finished the last batch. We never had to wait for more food (which in itself was amazing)! I was SO impressed that the owner himself was cleaning the table next to us. Then stopped to talk to us and make sure everything was just perfect. He is so nice and humorous at the same time. As mentioned, my husband is from Alabama, right on the gulf coast. He's very picky about his seafood. And his steak (no restaurant cooks it right for him). He was THRILLED with the food. He said his steak was amazing, as well as the crab. He did indicate that the crab had been frozen (because it was a little harder to get the crab out) but what do you expect living in Utah? Even frozen, he said it tasted awesome. I don't eat seafood. I had terriyaki chicken that was SO GOOD! They gave me TWO breasts, plus salad, veggies, and rice. I took a chicken breast and rice home with me (and I can eat a LOT of food). The kids loved their meals of mini corndogs and chicken tenders. I admit I ate my son's leftover chicken tenders the next day and they were so great! Spicy and delicious! I told my family (parents and 7 sibblings, plus spouses) about Madelines. We are all going to Madelines tonight. I'm sure the family will be hooked like us! I have NEVER reviewed a restaurant, but I HAD to rate this one!
Pros: Treated Like Royalty; Affordable; Amazing Food; Hard-Working Owner; Great Atmosphere
Cons: None Whatsoever!!!

This is the best resturant I have been to since moving to Utah. Its great food no matter what you order, the service is excellant, and even the owner will stop by and see how you are doing. This is by far the best of Utah.
Pros: Great service, nice employees
Cons: none

Had an enjoyable dinner with friends, food was good and owner was pleasant to talk with. Appetizers need work, but all else was good.
