Due to scheduling conflicts and craziness, I wasn't able to get in to my regular nail tech. So, I looked around on here and found this place. The woman who did my nails tut tutted over the thickness of my nails so much, then proceeded to make them the chunky linebackers of acrylic nails they currently are. They looked ok when she finished, when I looked them over, but looking at them now, UGH. There are bubbles and the white from the french tip is smeared into the pink. Then, she proceeded to try and goad me into getting a pedicure! And to set up another appointment in 2 weeks. Anyway, it seems this place's strong point is hair, so go elsewhere for your nails. At least if you want pretty, feminine, non-blobby nails.
Pros: Lots of other shops in the Gateway.
Cons: ugly nails

I went here once and while the location isn't the easiest for me, I will go back so long as my stylist is there. It's great shop.

After years of searching for the right salon, I decided to try Studio H2o. I had just had a really bad hair experience from another well recommended salon. I called there and talked to the receptionist who was marvelous and helpful. She was able to fit me in on such a short notice. The stylist who cut my hair was Megan. She is so fantastic. She listened to my ideas, my hair texture, my lifestyle and came up with what I must say is the best cut of my life. Megan ended up cutting my daughter's hair as well as my son's. They, too were super pleased. Megan just relocated here from California, so it is Utah's gain and CA's loss. I just feel so lucky that I found such a great, chic, professional salon.
Pros: chic, friendly, professional and Megan, the stylist.
Cons: couldn't find one if I tried.

This is my first review here on Citysearch and it was my first time at Studio H2o. In summary, it was the best place I've ever had my hair done at! As soon as I went in, they asked if they could take my jacket and hang it up for me. Then, of course, they asked if I'd like something to drink. I wasn't really thirsty so didn't take them up on the offer, but that was extremely courteous and great customer treatment. It was my first time there so when I made an appointment, they asked me with whom, but I didn't know anybody there. Luckily, they chose a great stylist for me. Her name was Krista. I had my hairstyle for a VERY long time and needed a change. I brought in a photo of a style I wanted to see if it could be done. Krista did what she did and I left very satisfied. They go over what you should do to maintain your look and care for your hair after leaving the salon. The ambience was very "chic" and modern. It was very clean and professional looking. Again, great service, great staff! If you want a new you, try out Studio H2o. You won't regret it.
Pros: Friendly staff. Caters to your needs and treats you like a real customer.
Cons: None that I could think of at the time

This is my first rating ever, I just thought this place was defdinitly worth the time. I have my hair done by Elena Mitchell, the cute Russian! I have to say that i'm so extremely picky about my hair!!! Any little cut i ask! She's the only person that I entrust my hair to!! My color's come out absolutely amazing! She does such great mixes, my hair always ends up shiny and a beautiful natural color! I highly recammend her. If you're picky she's the person to go to, she's definitly a perfectionist! The overall vibe of the salon is so friendly so when you walk in you feel like a part of the family! It's great! :)
Pros: A connection with the hairstylist, they do what you want!!!
Cons: None!!! Check this place out for sure!

I have had a lot of hair cuts from places all over salt lake city. I am very picky about hair so it is hard for me to find one person to stick with. I was a frequent customer at Jagged Edge but the last time I was there I was really let down. So, I had to find a new place to go. I chose Hieu Le ( Senior Stylist ) at Studio H2O and I have never been happier with a hair cut. I can honestly say that Hieu gave me the best hair cut I have EVER been given. Lets just say I am a connoisseur of short hair cuts and I know what is good. Hieu Le is the best I have found so far and I don't plan on switching my hair stylist any time soon. I highly recommend Hieu Le.
Pros: Best Hair Cut ever!
Cons: nothing at all :)

I am SOOOO happy to have found Lien at Studio H20 Salon!!! I have a short hair cut and I have a lot (I mean A LOT) of hair! It is very difficult to find someone who knows how to cut my hair. Most stylists have a huge fear of the razor and always resort to the dreaded "thinning shears" in order to get the job done. Anyone who has short, funky hair knows that you MUST have a good cut and good products in order to keep your hair looking great! I did a lot of research to find a new stylist. I have lived in SLC for three years and have tried several different options.....granny "beauty shops" to a neighbors basement. I have a very forgiving hairstyle and can usually work through a bad cut, however I just wanted to find someone who KNEW what I wanted and KNEW how to achieve that look! Lien is a master! She knows what she's doing, she listens and pays very close attention to detail. This salon is all about customer service and they want you to leave happy, as they want you to come back as a regular client. It's the little things that mean so much.....last week when I was in, Lien usually foils my hair, however she said that she would rather take the extra time to use a cap for my color as it allows the color to get closer to the roots. I have NEVER had a stylist/colorist take the extra time to do something they don't want to do in order to make ME happy! Also, I love the fact that after my cut, but before my style, Lien washes my hair again, as to get rid of all the little stray hairs so they aren't itchy or falling out onto my shirt for the rest of the day! LOVE THAT! In the past, I have tried to cut back on my budget for haircuts and color. However, unfortunately I have learned the hard way that you get what you pay for...... Make an appointment with Lien.....I promise you won't be disappointed!!!
Pros: Highly skilled stylists; great hours; friendly atmosphere and focus on customer service....
Cons: A little pricey......

Alissa at H20 cut my hair a couple of weeks ago and gave me some tips on styling my hair and what product to use. I'm just a clueless guy when it comes to my hair, but I have really been satisfied with hair cut and new style that Alissa created for me. I would recommend her to anyone. My wife had Alissa cut and color her hair previously and was so happy with it that she suggested I go see Alissa for my cut.

The staff at Studio h20 Salon are great. I highly recommend Lien and/or Tuan for coloring. I've gone to many salons in the Salt Lake City and Park City area, and it took me a year to find a salon that knew what they were doing...none compare to the talent at this salon. The first time I went, it was for a color correction and not only did Lien get the color perfect, she also gave me one of the best hair cuts I've had since living in the metro DC area. I have a very busy schedule, so their location and hours are perfect. Lien even came-in to the salon on her day off for me this past week! These guys rock!
Pros: Location, hours, parking, experienced/talented staff
