This trainer is extremely skilled at training dogs and teaching people. He showed us how to "talk dog" so that we were able to communicate with our furry friend. We learned how to talk to our dog and understand what he was saying by using the dog language we were taught. This turned out to be invaluable while we were working with Chester. Chester is a six month old Siberian Husky who was chasing cars, kids and other neighborhood dogs. Our biggest problem was his pulling on the leash. We could never walk Chester because he pulled us everywhere especially when other dogs were around. Alpha Dog Training showed us proper correction methods that were far more effective than we ever thought possible. We learned how to stop Chester from chasing using positive reinforcement and praise rather than yelling or other negative methods. Our best friend now walks by our side without pulling. His barking has stopped and he's become the most wonderful companion ever. I would encourage anyone seeking excellent professional dog training to contact this company. THIS TRAINER IS FANTASTIC. I'VE NOTICED SOME UNKINDLY WORDS ABOUT HIM ON THIS SITE AND I'VE FOUND OUT THAT THE REVIEW WAS WRITTEN BY A COMPETITOR IN THE DOG TRAINING BUSINESS. IN ANY CASE, THIS TRAINER COULD NOT BE MORE FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. HE TRAINED MY 2 YEAR OLD POODLE IN FOUR SESSIONS. MY DOG WAS AGGRESSIVE TO PEOPLE WHO CAME TO THE DOOR. THE AGGRESSION WAS CORRECTED AND WE LEARNED SIT, STAY, DOWN, COME HEEL, WAIT AT THE DOOR, NO NIP, NO BARK, NO CHEW. WE TRAINED INSIDE AND OUTSIDE USING THE TRAINER'S "POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT" METHOD. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE WHO IS LOOKING FOR A GREAT LOCAL DOG TRAINER.

My one-plus year-old Dobie was adopted and I needed help since he is playful, over-protective and insecure. Bluto is a bit challenging, especially with company. I called Alpha and spoke with the trainer. I saw results the first day. At the conclusion Bluto was more receptive with company and more relaxed over-all and an incredibly improved companion. I'm happy that i went the no-nonsense teaching style as it's made a huge difference in the lives of my pet and me!

I had a very aggressive little poodle that would bark and bite people at the door. He also started biting my young children. He was very hard to house train. He would also chew up the furniture. I called Alpha Dog Training and one of the Trainers came out to my house. They are personal trainers who train the dog in its own environment. In a few sessions the trainer had my dog rehabilitated; no biting, jumping up, and comletely house trained. They only use the Positive Reinforcement Method. The trainer not only trained my dog but taught me all the new methods of how to speak dog language. Alpha Dog Training is certified by the AKC and have been in business for more than 13 years. I am extremely satisfied with Alpha Dog Training and would recommend them to anyone seeking Behavior Modification or any kind of obedience training. Susan Brown Salt Lake City

We scheduled an appointment with this trainer and waited, but he never showed up and never called to apologize or reschedule. In reference to the statement made by "MARKTURNER" that my original review was written by a competitor, it is completely inaccurate. I am a pet owner and a student. I have no affiliation with any type of pet training association or any other pet related industry.
