The food here is wonderfull, the rich color scheme is welcoming, and they have belly dancers! I have the lamb dishes almost every time, although the vegetarian dishes are also great. They know the difference between "medium" and "mild" and prepare it accordingly! The nann (a warm flat bread) is always fresh from their tandoori oven, I like the garlic nann. I dine there two or three times a month. I crave this place, and I think you will too! Keep in mind that the dishes are prepared to order, so it takes a litle time. Go after your movie at Jordan Landing, not before.

Pros: Fresh food, ambiance, belly dancers!

Cons: Takes a litle time, don't go if you are in a rush.

In the last five years I've developed a passion for Indian food and have tried just about every Indian restaurant in Salt Lake. Last night my wife and I tried India Fusion for the first time. First off I was quite impressed by the decor. It's a very nice looking restaurant! I even enjoyed the Bollywood movie projected on the back wall, however being on a black surface made the image quite dark. The lights in the bathrooms are motion activated and only stay on for 5 seconds at a time so you have to keep waving your arms at the switch. My wife and I ordered the "Muy Caliente Chili Chicken" that had the bright red flames all around it. I guess the Spanish indicates some Indian-Mexican fusion. We also ordered the Rogan Josh (a creamy lamb curry dish), and the Samosa appetizer. The samosas arrived on a large white plate with mint and tamarind chutney. I found the samosa to be somewhat bland and the chutney seemed like the stuff you get out of a jar rather than prepared in house. Bombay house is far superior on this item. It also did not come with any serving utensils or a special plate so we used our own spoons and our main plate. When the main courses arrived, they also did not come with any serving spoons, so we had to use the same spoons we had just eaten with to get our rice and curry servings. If we were not a married couple, it would be unthinkable to dip our own spoons into the shared rice and curry dishes. We had to ask for fresh plates in order to avoid mixing the new food with the remaining bits of samosa and chutney on our dirty plates. The Chili chicken did not turn out to be as spicy as advertised, most of the heat came from sliced jalapenos. It was rested on a bed of iceberg lettuce that did not compliment the dish and quickly wilted under the hot food. Ultimately, we were not very impressed with the food and disappointed by how it was presented. I would recommend Taste of Punjab or Bombay house over this place any day. Erik

Pros: Nice environment, frienly staff, Bollywood on the wall.

Cons: Defective lights in the bathrooms, mediocre food, cutting corners.
